Deploying an AI assistant in a securities environment requires businesses to address multiple requirements simultaneously, including data management, security, access control, integration, and scalability. With hiDragon x AI, RongViet Securities Corporation (VDSC) has partnered with eCloudvalley (ECV), an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner, to deploy the solution on Amazon Web Services (AWS), bringing AI from business requirements into real-world operations.
In the securities industry, an AI assistant must meet a range of requirements, including operational stability, security, data access control, integration with existing systems, and scalability to accommodate evolving needs. Accordingly, implementation involves more than selecting an AI model capable of answering questions; it also requires a solution aligned with the enterprise’s technology infrastructure and operational requirements.
VDSC’s initiative stems from the need for investors to search, read, filter, and consolidate diverse types of information on stocks, the market, industries, news, products, and services. Guided by the philosophy
of “Customer-Centricity”, RongViet is enhancing hiDragon with AI to help users search for, consolidate, and access information more conveniently, enabling them to focus on the specific information they need.
Throughout this process, eCloudvalley (ECV) has partnered with VDSC across consulting, solution design, deployment, integration, and operations on AWS, translating business requirements into an AI solution tailored to VDSC’s existing technology infrastructure and operational needs.
Building on these requirements, hiDragon has been upgraded to hiDragon x AI – A Smart Virtual Assistant for Investment Support, enabling users to ask questions in natural language and access multiple categories of information through a single interface. The solution is now directly integrated into smartDragon – An Optimized Platform for Stock Investment Support and liveDragon – A Smart Price Board System, allowing investors to retrieve information seamlessly while monitoring the market.
VDSC and ECV technical teams align on the project’s technology requirements
From a technology perspective, hiDragon x AI is built on Amazon Bedrock, leveraging Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 Sonnet model. Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases enables the implementation of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), allowing the assistant to generate responses based on aggregated data and VDSC’s proprietary domain-specific data, rather than relying solely on the AI model’s general knowledge. This helps ensure that responses concerning stocks, industries, and financial news reflect information curated and reviewed by VDSC. Amazon API Gateway facilitates the integration and processing of requests from user-facing platforms within AWS’s cloud-native architecture.
At the control and operations layer, the solution employs Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to manage access permissions, alongside centralized logging, monitoring, and observability mechanisms. The implementation also addresses data security and the protection of enterprise knowledge, while enabling system activity monitoring and scalability to accommodate evolving needs.
After approximately one year in operation, hiDragon x AI recorded 46,986 queries across 11,704 chat sessions, averaging 4.01 queries per session. The system also collects, consolidates, and analyzes approximately 500 news items per day, classifying them into three categories: positive, negative, and neutral. Data sources include economic and financial media, disclosures from listed companies, and announcements from stock exchanges.
Another key metric is the average next-day return rate, which reached 87.5%, an increase of 4.8 percentage points compared with the period before the upgrade. These metrics indicate that hiDragon x AI has moved beyond the experimental stage into real-world operations, demonstrating measurable levels of usage and user engagement.
The VDSC team reviews the positive results following the official deployment of hiDragon x AI
The hiDragon x AI project demonstrates that bringing AI into an enterprise typically begins with a specific business problem. However, for AI to operate sustainably, businesses must address multiple requirements simultaneously, including data management, integration, security, access control, monitoring, and scalability.
VDSC contributes its business expertise and product direction, while eCloudvalley connects these requirements with AWS architecture and AI implementation capabilities. Their end-to-end collaboration, spanning design, integration, and operations, is tailored to the practical requirements of an enterprise environment.
The hiDragon x AI project forms part of RongViet’s long-term digital transformation strategy, which focuses on continued investment in Big Data, AI, and the optimization of digital trading platforms throughout 2026–2030. As part of this strategy, the AI-powered virtual assistant is expected to be integrated directly into iDragon – An Advanced Online Securities Trading System, moving toward deeper integration across information retrieval, market monitoring, investing, and asset management.
Mr. Le Nguyen Dung (Country Manager, eCloudvalley Vietnam) shakes hands with Ms. Huynh Tu Hoa (Head of Research and Development, Information Technology Center, RongViet Securities), symbolizing the close collaboration throughout the project
The combination of VDSC’s business expertise and eCloudvalley’s technology implementation capabilities has laid the foundation for bringing hiDragon x AI into real-world operations on AWS.
Commenting on the project, Mr. Le Nguyen Dung, Country Manager of eCloudvalley Vietnam, stated: “The initial results of hiDragon x AI demonstrate that when a clearly defined business problem is combined with the right implementation capabilities, AI can move beyond the experimental stage to become part of an enterprise’s day-to-day operations. eCloudvalley hopes that its collaboration with VDSC will provide another practical example of how AI can be effectively applied in the securities and financial services industry.”
